1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Auralish Inc. ("Auralish," "we," "us," "our"), a company incorporated in Canada, governing your access to and use of the Brief – AI Interview Coaching mobile application (the "App").
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Brief. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Description of Services
Brief provides AI-powered interview coaching, including:
- Live, voice-based mock interviews conducted by an AI interviewer
- Practice interview questions across multiple types and difficulty levels, answerable by voice or text
- AI-generated feedback and coaching, including scored evaluations and suggested optimized answers
- Resume and job-description upload and analysis
- Interview history, progress tracking, and downloadable PDF reports (Premium/Premium Plus)
All feedback, scores, and coaching content in Brief are generated by artificial intelligence. See Section 8 below.
The App uses third-party services including Supabase (authentication and backend), Google Gemini (live interview conduct, transcription, question generation, and feedback), LiveKit Cloud (real-time audio transport), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting).
4. Account Registration
To use the App, you must create an account via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. Brief does not support password-based sign-up. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials with Google/Apple
- All activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User Content
"User Content" includes resumes, job descriptions, voice recordings, profile photos, and any other material you upload or submit to the App.
- You retain ownership of your User Content.
- You grant Auralish a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and analyze your User Content solely to provide and improve the App's features (for example, sending your live interview audio to Google Gemini via LiveKit Cloud to generate feedback).
- You represent that you have the right to upload your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the resumes and information you upload.
6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
- Brief offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (Premium and Premium Plus), processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed via RevenueCat.
- Price, billing period, and auto-renewal terms are displayed in the App before purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Deleting your Brief account does not cancel an active subscription. These are separate actions — see auralish.com/briefdeleteaccount.
- Refunds are subject to the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable. Auralish does not directly process payments or issue refunds outside of these platforms' standard processes.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice, consistent with the applicable app store's policies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that violates the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's underlying AI models or source code
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, security, or third-party integrations
- Use the App to impersonate any person or entity
- Circumvent any paywall, subscription, or payment mechanism
8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Brief uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to conduct interviews and generate all interview questions, scores, and feedback. Content generated by AI is clearly labeled within the App. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated feedback is for practice and informational purposes only and does not guarantee interview or job success
- AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or generic, and should be reviewed critically rather than relied on as authoritative
- Brief is a coaching tool and not a substitute for professional career counseling or human judgment
9. Intellectual Property
All App content, design, branding, software, and underlying technology (excluding User Content) are owned by Auralish Inc. or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services (Supabase, Google Gemini, LiveKit Cloud, RevenueCat, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple). Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third party's terms of service and privacy policies. Auralish is not responsible for the practices or availability of these third-party services.
11. Notifications
Brief may send you local reminders (such as daily practice reminders), scheduled entirely on your device. You may disable notifications at any time via your device settings.
12. Termination and Account Deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
You may delete your account at any time directly within the App, via Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your documents, interview history, feedback, and profile data. This does not cancel an active subscription — see Section 6. More detail is available at auralish.com/briefdeleteaccount.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. AURALISH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED FEEDBACK WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR RESULT IN EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AURALISH INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auralish Inc., its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada, except where local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction (e.g., EU, UK, California) mandate otherwise.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
